Memories of childhood include biting into these little biscuits of happiness…
Pronutro is a soy and maize based, wheat free South African breakfast cereal from Bokomo available in different flavours – of which chocolate is my absolute favourite!
This is probably the easiest biscuit recipe EVER invented…
CHOCOLATE PRONUTRO SQUARES
185gsm butter
90gsm sugar
1 & 1/2 cups flour
2teaspoons cocoa
1cup chocolate Pronutro
3/4cup coconut
1teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
Cream butter and sugar. Add dry ingredients and press into a pan. Bake for 20min at 150degrees celcius.
To make the sauce: mix 5 heaped Tablespoons of icing sugar with a knob of butter, 2 teaspoons of cocoa and a spash of boiling water to make a paste. Spoon over the biscuits while they are still hot and then cut into squares when cold.

I am not even a fan of chocolate but I love the sound of these!
They are REALLY delicious!!
Just wondering what flour to use? Plain or self raising?
Plain flour works perfectly!
Plain!!
