After a bit of a *eek* moment last week of posting this blog and then having to suspend it because I wasn’t supposed to have access to the image before the Magazine was officially on sale… I can now put it back up … because the Woolworths Taste Magazine (issue July 2012) is now ON SALE in stores…
My excitement is due to the fact that I was fortunate enough to be one of the 5 readers who had their recipe published in the June 2012 issue for my Guinness Beer Bread… and now I am one of the 38 regular Woolworths TASTE magazine readers from throughout South Africa whose kitchen flair will be celebrated in print (and we all know that I am a fan of printed media!) in their READERS Issue in July 2012 – which is a bonanza of comfort home-style food and features over 60 contributed recipes from readers as well as their valuable editorial input.
lets hear you say it with me now…. *WOOHOO*….
Winter Comfort food with a special emphasis on South African ingredients was the theme of the questionnaire put to readers – which questions that included: “which truly South African ingredients can’t you live without?”; “what is your favourite winter fruit?” and “what is your most treasured family dish?”
Mine and Mommabear’s *Chocolate Pronutro Squares* recipe made it onto their list along with a host of other South African dishes with a twist, including Sticky Tipsy Tart, Ostrich Lasagne and Milk Tart Liquer.

The other item to note is that they are trying to drum up local publicity for (and from) the readers that they have selected within their own communities…
