Smart, Pure and Kooky food at .Albert

Whilst walking between his and my apartments, I noticed that a particular building on the Washington/Tenbosch circle in Ixelles had started to promise a new food spot.

I didn’t notice any further changes until this past weekend – when suddenly, the whole facade had changed and I was now looking at a fun, modern, smart and kooky (their word) food spot called .Albert

Open 7days a week from 08h00-20h00, they promise healthy, well-balanced, pure and easy-going dishes, that either can be taken home or eaten their *soulful* eatery.

With a passion for food (them and me) and offering free wifi… … I couldn’t resist popping in on their opening day (Wednesday 24th October 2012) – unfortunately, although they were open, the young guy behind the counter told me that they were having problems with their electricity and would close from the thursday until 6th November in order to fix all the little bits and pieces… and to be able to offer hot meals out of their kitchen!

Although they didn’t have these facilities available at the moment – they did have a wonderful array of salads and sides available…. and I was tempted into buying a portion of Ricotta and Spinach Cannelloni for dinner (7euros) and it was DELISH!!!

Would I go back? Looking forward to it!

  1. Dear ‘Why Iam not skinny’. Thank you for the article about .Albert wonderful description!
    Just mentioning that for the moment .Albert will be open from 10h till 20h from tuesday to saturday. Closed on Sunday and Monday. We are still looking for some structure and good staff to be able to open the hours mentioned above…

    All the best, and feel free to pass by another time. We have a giant success with our mushroom-pasta’s for the moment.
