Meeting up with a friend recently… we decided that an after-work drink would suit us both. Preferably somewhere quiet and that had nearby parking.
Loui Lounge & Bar at the Conrad Hotel is perfect… It is stylish and comfortable – somewhat expensive, but opulence doesn’t come cheap! They market themselves as the most glamorous and exclusive bar in the Brussels and was awarded *best hotel bar in Europe* by the Prix Villegiature. Imagine lots of leather and dark wood… original artwork and a separate cigar smoking room!
The thing is – with everything you order… you get a little more, the way good places operate! If you go for a drink, they provide the tasty (complimentary) snacks. If you order coffee, they provide miniature (complimentary) chocolates.

From here we walked across to the stylish hotel restaurant, Cafe Wiltchers which is nestled in the hotels courtyard and offers a delicious yet short dinner menu (something for everyone without being too much!)
We decided to keep it simple… one asparagus risotto and one seafood pasta:
